Description

ET231 Series surface thermometers with bayonet lock are intended for measuring temperatures in solids, on bearings and moulding tools, for example in the plastics industry. Thanks to the conical shape of the measuring tip, these temperature probes are suitable for use in cone-shaped bores.

The rugged pressure spring acts as a cable protector and ensures a uniform pressure between the measuring tip and the bottom of the hole. The sensor provides good heat transfer through adjustable spring pressure. The fitting length can be altered by rotating the bayonet lock.

The sensor is normally a Pt100 temperature sensor to EN 60 751, Class A in 3-wire circuit. Versions with thermocouples, Pt1000, PTC or NTC sensors are available on request.

Description

ET241 series surface temperature sensors are designed for measuring temperatures on closed pipe systems or other round or flat surfaces. The sensor can be conveniently fixed with a hose clamp or M3 screw. Mounting with hose clamps avoids any mechanical preparation of the measurement site.

Indirect temperature measurement avoids disturbing flow of the medium and the measurement object is hardly affected by the low thermal mass of the sensor. On the other hand, lack of pressure and chemical effects ensures longer lifespan of the sensor.
It must be considered that large differences in temperature between the measurement medium and surroundings have a direct effect on the measurement result. In such cases, additional insulation around the sensor and the cable in at least 10 cm range is advisable. To improve heat transfer from surface to the sensor, heat-conductive paste can be supplied.

Description

Description

Mineral insulated thermocouples are fast reacting temperature sensors, suitable for continous and peak temperature measurement in liquids and gases. Applications vary from laboratory to industrial environment.

Thermocouple wires are protected from environment and electrically insulated by compressed magnesium oxide powder inside thin-wall protection tube, made from heat resistant alloy. The tube can be bent to fit to the measuring point.
